hello LVC
i always wanted black rims
but was always afraid of them not looking right
so i found PLASTI DIP:)
it goes on good and so easy to remove a 11year old can do it
have you guys heard of it?

Yeah, there was a thread similar to this with some pictures and video of guys doing it to their civic wheels. Try it, real easy to take off.

A friend of mine did it on his mazda protege5 cam out really good and cheap to do.

interesting..I looked on their website and found this Corvette. The owner used Plastidip to do a mock up of a custom paint job he was considering. Supposedly it peels off without harming paint.

Lot of vids on youtube of people doing their wheels. Comes out surprisingly good. There's a cute chick on there using it to redo her window trim. Might be something for you guys who can't stand an chrome anywhere at any time lol

if you have the funds to buy it and want black wheels, then sure, try it out and hopefully you'll like it

that stuff looks cool, if it turns out like crap just peel it off. Pretty cheap too. Maybe I will get some and play with it.

I have a black ls and I would love to paint the front grill and the rear surround to black, but the flat black don't work for me now if it had some gloss then hell yea.

Once it gets dirty, you'll have to re-do it. Dip 'em, then paint over the Dip with some Duplicolor. Done.

Apparently once it's dirty, you can't wash it all off. Especially true when used in winter.

turned out great i will post a new thread and pics
