My cup holder and ashtray were pealing bad. So I decided to paint them black to match some of the trim. Plus black was easier to buy then a paint to match the interior :D I painted the ashtray, shifter trim and climate trim. Here is the picture

Wood would be nice but then I would want the dash and doors to match

There are a few places that sell full wood trim kits for our cars, they just adhesive in place. Thats what i wiull be doing for my early 94 that has no wood.

The 94's have wood trim around the ac, the shifter, and the cup holder and ashtray.

And Rich, the bone yards around Houston are full of Marks.

I wish I could find a Mark VIII in one of our local bone yards.

Keep checking- when it rains it pours. Last time I went, I found FOUR!!
And then I went a few miles away and found two more.

And these were scavenged wrecks either. I replaced my seats, grill, cargo net, center console, hard button controls, ect...

Never saw one before, in the past four years, suddenly, a half dozen. I expect to find more, relative to the production number, in the yards in the coming future. We're talking about a 14 year old car now, most people don't know that the stupid grill in decent shape will bring $150 on ebay.

Yea Im not a big fan of the peal and stick trim.

Yeah, what he said. It's got a cheap look to it. The black paint don't look too bad at all. Maybe wet sand the ashtray lid a little more as it looks like it might be a little rough. Other than that I think it looks a bit sportier that way.

Yea I could have spent more prep time on it. I will when I change out my climate control unit.

Im doing a leather wrap. I hate the wood, its gotta go :) Though I may have so swap with someone with beat up stuff since I will be cutting and gluing on mine - no sense to wreak good trim.
