P1406 Differential Pressure Feedback Electronic Sensor Circuit Downstream Hose is the code.

Can't find a past message about it and I'm not familiar with the V6. Can anyone tell me where this is and if you've had a past fault? Parts lists are not helping what it is / where it is.

Thanks.

I believe that this relates to the sensor that measures the flow rate of exhaust gases through the EGR valve. On gen II, this is built into the EGR valve assembly.
First check that all the vacuum hoses to the EGR assembly are all in good shape and connected.

You may be right. I've looked at parts listings and a short review of the car and can't find anything that looks like the service manual diagram.

You are right that it is part of the control circuit to evaluate for proper ERG flow.

Don't know about Gen ii, but my wife's Gen1 has a gasket between EGR valve & mount which is easy to miss or fall of screws, during assembly. Did it twice my self. Replaced gasket last assembly. May or may not be related to your problem. 2000 LS V6.
Joeger is the MAN! Thanks Joeger!

I understand the workings and have read many diagrams. The issue here is where is it on this car? It appears to be internal within the EGR valve on the '03 3.0L unless someone has a different answer (and pictures).

It is definitely a non-separable part of the EGR valve assembly on the gen II V8. I assume that this is true for the V6 as well, but I don't know for a fact. I know that they are pretty expensive new. When I last looked (for my inlaws' car) they were about $50 used on ebay.

I agree for the GII V8 as I replaced the EGR on our LS for its 100k maintenance. I think I paid around 100 for a Motorcraft.
