I searched.... No dice. 98 lsc had anyone ever done one? I assume it's in that tray in the back? You think replacing it will get rid of my code?

So the EVAP vent solenoid I found it in the passenger side fenderwell. Take the wheel off then the inner fender skirt. Look inside and up towards the rear of the car. You'll see two bolts, 10mm head facing straight down. Pull both bolts and pull the whole assembly down. Remove the two big lines by squeezing the tabs together and pulling straight off. One small vacuum line and a plug. Two more 10mm nuts and take it off the mounting bracket. Slap the new one on and reverse.

After I installed the new one I took it for a ride and upon my return there was a foul odor coming from the car. I'm thinking it's the built up vapor that was never vented with the bad solenoid. When I plugged in my scanner p0499 was gone. Hope this helps somebody.
