P-0355 Ignition coil E primary/secondary circuit malfunction

01 LS v6
Ok I also had cylinder 5 misfire, replaced the coil and plug the car runs good now until I stop at a light and it idles for a few seconds then the idle drops and the car shakes so after some reading I checked the wiring to the #5 coil and it looks like it was repaired before but looks good and solid I taped it back up to make sure it wasn't touching something and shorting out. I'm lost help please

Swap the #5 coil with #4 or #6 and see if the code stays with #5. (I expect that it will.) If it moves with the coil, then you are lucky and it is just a defective coil even though it is new.

If not...
Check the connector to the coil, the connector at the PCM, and the two wires in between. If you are lucky, the problem will be there somewhere. Be sure to measure the continuity of each wire from the coil connector to the PCM connector. It should be less than a couple of ohms. Check the resistance between each wire and ground. It should read as open, or greater than the max resistance your meter can read.

If all is good with the wiring, then it's very rare, but your PCM may be damaged.
If so, it will have to be replaced. Note that a Ford specific scan tool will be required to marry the replacement PCM to the rest of the car.
