Hey guys, new to the forum. Ive owned my 2004 ls v8 for about a week (driven it 300 miles) and... I love it. It was used as a fleet vehicle before I owned it and has always been well taken care of and garaged. After the first test drive I bought it. It currently has 118,000 miles. Im 19 and really good with cars (Im going to school so I can sell cars). My other car is a 2000 celica gt-s with some mods. The car fax says the transmission solenoid was replaced at 30k, when Ive been reading most people replace it around 55-100k, my question is since its already been replaced what are the chances that it will have to be again? The car shifts smooth but sometimes while putting it in reverse it seems a little rough going into gear I just want to know if thats common with these cars, anyways hope you enjoy the pictures. You shouldn't have to replace it again. Mine is going on 80K miles.

Normal behavior.

Looks nice... Enjoy your LS!!!!!!

welcome to LVC.

Congrats on the new LS, take care of it. These are rare cars.

Trans shifts are common, mine used to be rather violent. I replaced solenoid and did a flush, much better now, but still noticeable.

you should be fine, but with 118k might be worth a trans flush. just my .02

Looks clean. Mine was a corporate car for the first 2.5 years. You have to go to school to sell cars?
