I know a lot of folks here like to modify their gauges, but mostly it seems to be just changing the light bulbs to different colors. Has anyone here ever had a custom gauge overlay printed up, then removed the factory overlay and installed it? I'm looking for someone who is able to do this, but not on my Lincoln. I'm tired of not knowing how fast my truck's going from third gear on when WOT, and its speedo runs out at 100MPH. If I could find someone who can print me a new one for 160MPH, I can program the truck to use it but finding someone willing to make a factory quality overlay has not been easy.

ive seen new overlays placed over top of the factory one (basicly a sticker) but they all had the OEM numbers still shining through, i dont think i have ever seen anyone completely replace the face surface...

i guess it would all depend on how removable you OEM one is, then take it, scan it, photoshop the new lines and numbers over the part you want edited, then take it to a sign shop and have a vinyl cut

might be easier to just add a new gauge or even something like a Dash Hawk to display speed

could always use a GPS system...

That's it exactly, thanks Alex7. I actually came across them on another board after I asked this here and have asked them about it, looks like they can do me one for 145 bucks. I'm working on the recal now. I know I can do it with EFI Live, but I'm thinking that going at it that way will affect both the speedo and the odometer which I don't want to do as it would mean I'd travel a little under 2 miles for every recorded mile. I'm thinking I have a local shop that can handle the recal, if so then I'm golden.

Appreciate it, 1LoudLS, but I'm looking for a stock looking job. The thing I like hearing the most is when someone asks me about a modification and says "I didn't know the factory had that option." I like looking like I have a one of a kind factory option, not an obvious modification.
