I can buy 2 front struts and 2 rear shocks for my 92 LSC, for about $85 , Motorcraft parts. Liquidation sale. I know the price is awesome, but is it worth it? I really want to go with original parts, but am wondering how good those parts are at this point being 18-20 years old. Is this the type of part that degrades even if not used?

Thanks

$85. is about a tank and a half of premium gas in my area.
Its usually gone in less than two weeks.

For that price, on a NOS, it may be a good investment for you
as you extend another 18-20 years of milage from a classic.

My only concern is the stores parts storage facility and that it wasn't
kept in a damp, moist environment which would encourage rust
to form on the parts. Otherwise, go for it.
