the net is the cargo net that hooks form the rear of ur trunk, like where it closes. u can put :q:q:q:q in it and stuff. the hooks probbly have the took tot he little metal and hook to the net. i think

That looks like a trailer tongue lock.Does your LS have a hitch or does it look like there once was one. A dealer would be wise to pull it off.

yep it does. oh crap your ls pulled a boat:-( I'll look at mine to see exactly where they go.

Alright, after sweating my ass off in this nice Florida heat/humidity i figured it out. I tried to hook up the cargo net and there wasnt any kind of connections....in comes bag of goodies. Apparently there are some trim fasteners that come off and these hooks replace them. Easier said than done. The bottom one is a bitch because there isnt a hole for it already. Anyway, cargo net is in, which is awesome cause now my gear wont tend to slide around. I almost bought one off of ebay. If for some reason you havent, check the spare tire area...might find a surprise. Also found a paper clip and a pencil.....today is my lucky day. As far as a hitch goes, i looked and there isnt any sign of one being installed. I would assume there would be some sort of scuffing or something if there was one and later removed. Its an '05 though, so if it did pull something then atleast it was for only a year or so.

Ok...that was wierd. While i was doing the cargo net thing i disconnected the battery to reset the car, been meaning to after putting a k&n filter in. After reconnecting and starting the car the message center kept saying "Foot on Brake"...."Apply Parking Brake". Whats up with that?

that's normal. my 03 does this. something to do with the electronic ebrake relearning its positions. will do it every time you disconnect power.

Yeah, the Gorilla guard goes on a trailer hitch. I had one on my enclosed car trailer, it is top of the line anti-theft.

If I recall correctly for my 2000 you peel back the trunk liner and there is holes pre made, and you make a small incision in the liner for the hooks to go through. Not sure what relevance this has but whatever it's a very useful thing to have.

Yep, the cargo net has been useful , feel dumb it took me three weeks to check out the spare tire.
