When I turn my hazards on, I noticed that the right turn signal light does not light up. Not from the front of the car or on the dash, but both the back hazards work.

Someone will say without reading the rest of this "your front turn signal is burnt out!". But when I turn on the right turn signal with the hazards on its like having my normal hazards on. not really a problem, but every time i have my hazards on I dont want to have to remember to turn my right turn signal on.

what do the hazards and the blinkers have in common?

the multifunction switch.. I'd be willing to bet if you pulled that out, you would find the source of your "burning smell".

my hazard on the front is the turn signal.

and where did i say i had a "burning smell"

when I turn my hazards on only one side works, now when I flip the blinker switch to the other side then they both operate. Kinda wierd. In my case I would guess it might be in the multifunction switch. Maybe yours too. A while back one member said that his hazzards were not working at all, he took his hazzard switch out & cleaned it with electrical parts cleaner & all was good.

Just some ideas. good luck.

def. the switch. got it fixed but it took me an hour to figure out how to get the key tumbler back in.

I was dealing with a 97 taurus for a friend yest. with the same problem. High beams would flash, but wouldnt stay solid on, 1 hazard works, blinkers are intermittent in their working, and the reverse white lights dont work.....weird!

Not my car so I didn't do anything. Actually the problems all started after having her battery replaced, shes gonna let them look at it first, then probably buy a switch, I heard they're junk.
