One HID headlight dim!%$#@

Finally got my Mark Viii today ! After searching almost a year....
checked lights before purchase in daylight OK. Checked out the Mk 8 light show after dark at home and the driver side HID is real dim....negligable light, real dim light.
Had noticed some condensation in drivers lens only today, though both lenses crystal clear.

Should I swap bulb first and go from there? Check connectors for corrosion?
Locate ballast? Where is it..
Are parts available ( I don't believe so from what I see in posts here)
Haven't gotten a shop manual yet, are they available?
Always get both Haynes and Chiltons for my cars.

I'd appreciate any links help, email, info. Wanna get on the road after dark.
No auto inspection here in SC,so OK in that respect. Thanks....~G

In 98 the bulbs are not hard wired to the ballast, like in 97, so you can easily swap the bulbs first. Odds are the bulb is bad, but it could be the ballast.
