I was wondering if there is any other location to install an oil pressure sending unit other than the filter housing on our motors? I noticed allen plugs on each head which I'm assuming are oil passages, would this work, and if so would my readings be accurate?Any advice would be greatly appriciated,Thanks.

There's 2 plugs off of the filter adapter why not use the one that the factory unit isn't installed in?

Thats most likely what I'll do,I just figured if I could mount it closer to the rear of the engine it would be one less wire or oil line out of the way of the filter area when it comes time to change the filter,no big deal.

never had a problem with where the sender is located while changing the oil.............. its the clamp on the power steering line that has to be rotated to make it easy

My bad guy's,I noticed I never explained what I was doing.I'm planing on putting an oil pressure guage in my car,and still keeping the stock sending unit.I have a mechanical auto meter guage lying around the shop and would like to use that. The thing is my motor and k-member are still out of the car,so I figured i would do the plumbing for it now, just trying to make sure I dont run into any clearance issues with any of the fittings or lines once the engine goes back in,thanks
