Oil change

I just got my oil changed, I was under the impression that it only take 6 liters to fill her up.

I got charged for 7.5 liters, does that sound right???????

From my '03's owner's manual:

Engine oil (includes filter): 3.0L V6 - 6.5L (6.9 quarts), 3.9 V8 - 6.2L (6.5 quarts)

How is that possible? Usually they'd charge 7. Or at least a whole number.

That's why it's good to change your own...

Well... I just got ripped off, I was looking at old receipts they all have 6 liters.

I guess I'll have to go back tomorrow....crap, crap, crap.

There are owner's manuals listed on this site under the "tech articles" link up top if you don't have one. Download it and print the page that lists the capacities, this way you have something to show them.
