Hey All,
I have a 2000 LS V8 Sport Package w/ the Wood Dash Trim and I noticed a lot of the mounting brackets for the OEM Navigation system for the Lincoln LS's have a silver finish and I was wondering if anyone knew of a palce that had the bracket with the Wood Trim or if anyone knew of a way to customize a bracket to match the Wood Trim... All advice welcome!!

Well... I'm not sure if that would work because the depth of the trim would vary and i'm not sure how it would look... I'll definitely consider it though... Thanks for the advice!!.. .anyone else have an idea?

Interesting... Although it may be a little rough around the edges right?... Thanks for the advice!

not 100% positive of what you are asking. But if you are asking what woodgrain piece will fit that 2003 Bezel? Then you simply need to find a place that will sell you the woodgrain piece for a 2003 Navi system.

only problem is, the woodgrain for the 2003+ is slighltly darker than the 2000-2002, so it wont match perfectly. If you want a perfect match, your going to need to order custom pieces. alkaplus.com is one source for that I think

Thanks!! I appreciate it... Yea I was looking for something custom because of wood color differentiations between the years... Thanks for the site!!

No problem.

If you can get them to make a bezel with the woodgrain color/pattern of the 00-02 OEM woodgrain, let me know please, as I definitely would like to order one.

Is this what you are looking for?
Real burl wood, part of a kit, I don't have nav.

That's the piece but the wood looks darker than on my '00 LS... Is the wood different between years?

IIRC 2000-2002 was not real wood, 2003 + uses real wood. I remember someone said the 2000-2002 was browner and the 2003+ was redder. There are two different shift levers; 2000-2002 is a curly burl wood and has more of a brown color and the other is a straight grain with a reddish color.

I used this kit to cover all of the nickel color plastic on my 2004.

It is hard to see the color from the photo, I took with flash and without flash both the same, and it is only as good as your monitor.

A little heat from a heat gun or hair dryer on the vinyl might do the trick.

Well thanks for the insight... My monitor and video setup is pretty top notch so doubt it is that... I went to alkaplus.com and they said they could give me that piece in 2000 OEM color so I guess i'll just go with them... Thanks again for the Advice!

That piece shown IS the piece needed, and as stated, it is darker than the 00-02 "wood".

Broggi: Pls report back to this thread after you receive the part. Let me know how it matches. LOL.

Thanks

The 1st Gen "wood" isn't wood; the 2nd Gen uses real American Walnut Burl, but there's none on the center stack (it's the standard aluminum finish on all models), so a "stock" wood match isn't really an issue...

To clarify..correct. From the factory, the 00-02's came with "bare" center stacks. (except for the area around the ashtray/heated seat button area).

Years ago I purchased (cant recall where) aftermarket "wood" trim for the climate control area, stock radio, and center vent area. That "wood" trim matched the "wood" trim pieces that were elsewhere in the car. (above glovebox, doors, etc)

So now I have the same pattern/color "wood" on my center vent/climate control area that came with the car above the glovebox/on the doors, etc.

But the "wood" trim piece I have on my Double Din radio bezel for my Avic-D3, is the "wood" trim piece shown above. And it doesnt match the other pieces in the car
