Ok everyone I have a few questions that are really driving me crazy. First off, When my 06 V8 is running there’s this random gurgling noise from the area around my degas bottle. I know its not the DCCV or the climate calibration. I can’t pinpoint when ill hear it or what’s causing this sound. There’s no dummy light flashing and its driving fine. Anyone know what it might be, or a way to check it out further?
Now the, not so important question. I know this is weird but is there any way to tell if a car has been flooded or had water damage? I looked in my trunk the other day and there’s this sandy gravel throughout the spare tire area and I’ve noticed it under the black plastic cover on the front of the engine as well. Almost like someone drove it into a river! When I had a noise in my a/c vent, I took the passenger side floor trim off to get to the blower fan and the metal around is fairly rusty. This is on my new 06 ls. So I checked out my 00 ls and there’s not a stitch of rust. The carfax says it was purchased new in Ohio then traded back a dealer right before I purchased it. She’s got a clean record ! If something happened and it wasn’t reported to insurance or fixed through a dealership it wouldn’t be on the carfax, but if it has severe water damage that’s a big job to fix without a dealership. So I’m just curious.

I just looked at the related posts and there were 3 similar that i didnt find doing a search. They range from low cooland to a bad timing chain. One stood out , about the torque converter. I plan on checking the cooland again but any info on the torque converter would be helpful.
