I got a 511 code and it say's Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) problem-Read-Only Memory (ROM) test failure.

Can someone put this into better terms for me. My Engine Light was coming on and staying on for long periods so I took it to the shop and was told that #'s 4 and 6 fuel injectors are intermediate and needs to be replaced. So I replaced ALL injectors last night. Now my Engine Light comes on for just a few seconds to a couple minutes then go's back off again. It seems to happen more when im cruising between 50 and 55mph it will come on and off. So later that night I took it out on the highway and was being teased by a ricer Scion TC so at the next traffic light I got fed up and punched it. I got infront of him and noticed that I was blowing out thick black soot like I had a Diesel engine. It poured out through upper part of 1st and all of 2nd gear and stopped smoking in 3rd. I raced him 3 more times beating him each time. It never smoked in any of the other 3 races. He was impressed with my car and ask why it was blowing out like a Deisel when we first raced. I told him about replaceing the Injectors and said it's just the carbon being blown out. Am I correct in saying that or is there some other reason why it did that and just the one time? I wiped a whole bunch of Black Soot out of my Tips at the gas station.

It seems that you have to replace the whole PCM, as according to Service Manual...

He meant, that a chip can cause this error. Try disconnect it (if it is possible).

PCM will always show a 511 with a chip in it. From your sig you have no mods that would absolutely require the chip to run, so run it without for a few days and check the codes to eliminate it as an issue, then put it back in once you get 111/problems figured out ;)
