For the folks in the snowy climates - do you rustproof your LS annually? If so, what's your preferred choice?

I do my '92 Mustang with Krown every 2-3 years but it's only a summer car. The LS however does see snow and salt in the winter.

I already have some rust bubbles around the windshield (both top corners) and a few spots on the roof in front of the sunroof (more like specks). Going to have this repaired in late December which will involve removing the windshield and repaint. I don't think something like Krown or Rustcheck would have helped this surface rust.

I for one don't rust proof mine. If I owned it since new, maybe but I haven't owned a new car so I couldn't tell ya. I assume there would have been damage already done if it's been through a few harsh winters without it, so why cover what's already there.

I just try to keep it clean and keep er' waxed. Probably wrong but I was told paint doesn't just rust. It's normally from a scratch, dent, or an imperfection of sorts causing it trap rust causing crap in their.

Krown is the place to go to, by far. Check out redflagdeals.com in the auto section, lots of info on rustproofing within the GTA there.

I never had mine done, as when I bought it, it already had bit of surface rust on the subframe and struts.
