Noisy Rear End

Took a trip up to Sequoia National Park two weeks ago. Got into a little snow and when the wheels started spinning I heard a very loud noise from the rear end, the car would not move and the trac lock light lit up. What happened? This sounds expensive.

Its nothing to worry about. When the tire was spinning the abs was kicking in to try to stop it from spinning. This is what you were hearing. If your going to be spinning your tires in the snow a lot its best to trun of the tracton control to save the brakes.
