I’ve recently picked up a 2003 LS, 3.9l as a project. It doesn’t start but there is more. If I hook up a battery, fully charged, all the lights immediately turn on inside and outside. Opening the doors or rocking the car sideways activates the hazard lights. Turning the key to run does not turn in the dash lights or gauges but I can hear the fuel pump and what ever else turning in in the engine. Ofcouse no starting. Power windows and locks don’t work either.
I tried a different FEC module with no change and have inspected all the plugs and connections and wires at the FEC, REC and the ECU. Plugging my crappy code reader in and I can see the VIN number and one module.
Could this be as simple as an unprogrammed key? Or maybe an instrument cluster?
