heres the deal, I'm turning 18 in 5 months and i have had the ls V8 02 for 7 months so my dad asked what i wanted. i decided to change vehicles because he wants me to and we are both tired of the same persistent issues the LS has. He has a 06 ls and plans to get a charger. so i want to ask you all which car should i get next out of these. which is best over all.
reliability+looks+performance=aftermarkets+insurance cost and im 6'2''

dodge charger 06
chrysler 300 06
mustang 06
325ci or 330ci 03
G35 03 coupe
benz clk320 02
benz c230 or 240 03 sedan
jag s-type 02 or 03
cadillac cts 03 or 04

well these are the cars i narrowed it down to. i love the ls just as much since it is my first car and is beautiful. thank you very much for your opinions, I want to have more than enough time to make my decision so i dont regret anything.

I'm not a fan of the caddy so I'd say no to that. I do linke the nenz and the G35 but it's more than just a sweet ride youre looking at right? Remember, the 06 models will be under warranty for awhile so you might want to choose one of them for peace of mind.

Your dad's 06 should be under warranty too. Why is he jumping ship on it?

sorry to say but he fell in love when i showed him it with 22's lol and hes 46.

I'd go for a used 01-02 BMW M3 my next car(I hope) in the next 5 months is going to be a 2005 Corvette Z-51 that is really loaded :) but im also considering an M3...

But im keeping my LS!!

i wouldn't consider anything other than the benz c 230/240 or jag s-type. all the other cars on that list are nothing special to me. the c 230's stance is the best and i like the jags that share the ls platform a lot too. imo get either the benz c 230 with the amg or get the jag s type r

From first hand exp:

Charger interior feels cheap and overall the inside just doesnt do the car justice. Its a nice ride and great if you're looking for muscle but a step down from an LS.

If you are talking about the 300C, and not regular 300, then that would be more in line with an LS, quality wise. The sightlines take a bit to get used to. For whatever reason, the interior is very similar to the Chargers/Magnums.

The CTS is probably my fave of the three, and has the best overall look. A Caddy is a classic brand, so you now its gonna be packed with features. Even the V6 packs a punch (and runs on reg. unleaded, not 91+).

But by the list you've compiled, it seems that those 3 are prob. the bottom of the pack.
I would say go for the G35. I've been dying to test drive one of the '07s!

Either way, make sure you get something with a warranty. I don't think you wanna be paying out of your pocket for any one of these cars.

Keep us posted!

Mustang or S-Type. The only concern about the S-Type is when it breaks, it's going to break expensive. It's a Jaguar; that's what they do. :D

The Mustang is a nice car, but going to it from an LS is a big step down in refinement. The Mustang is great for what it is, but in comparison to the LS, it's loud and crude. Admittedly, my experience was with a base-model V6 rental, but it's not in the same class as an LS. (Also, my experience in the LS is only in 2nd Gens, so I don't know how far down it would be from a 1st Gen to a Mustang.)

If you like power, You WILL not like the Benz C class. That little 210hp supercharged engine sounds sweet on paper. But thats about it. The 215hp V6 has a little more up and go, but it will be nowhere near the V8 you're used to.
Plus... do you really want to have to pay a dealer $500 for a brake job? Thats about what it costs. (I work for a MB dealership, I would know)

The Charger and 300 are practically the same car. Different looks outside, but they are both built on the same mercedes E-class chassis. Of the 2 I would pick the Charger, but thats up to you. Both are decent cars, but I think you will be surprised at how cheap they feel/look inside.

The G35 is a decent ride, albeit a japanese car which means it has cheap japanese plastic parts that like to break (door handles). Plenty of power and leather to boot.

Personaly I would take the 06 Mustang as long as its GT. If its not a GT, go for the G35.

I would take a V8 S-type from that list (03 or later if possible)

i test drove the s type and i chose the LS over the v8 stype for some reasons. i see them everywhere and ilike it when people think oh its just a lincoln until they see it. ive been in my friends gt musty and its fast but im more on looks ,im not trying to be a race car driver just have a lil power. i also tested the clk 320 and it was smooth but cramp and the insurance was high because of my age. the LS fit perfectly thats why i choose it but starting to regret it. so which one is best in quality? i believe the g35 looks best next is the clk or s type.

Why not just ask your Dad for two of them and then decide later?

haha hes generous but not that generous. i have time just looking for opinions to tilt my final choice.

Stay far far away from the S-type. You think your LS has problems? They're chicken scratch compared to what a real Jag will throw at you. It may be built on the same platform, but the S-type is still a Jaguar built car, which means it has many more Jaguar parts than the LS, and Jaguar parts = $$$$$$$ Jag Labor = $$$$$$$$ Plus they fling timing chains like a mokey flings poo.

If you're gonna get a CLK go with an 04+, you'll thank yourself in the long run. They're not only better looking, but also better built. The frame is more reinforced than the older body style, which makes for fewer shakes (almost none) when the top is down (if you go the conv. route). The newer coupe handles MUCH better than the old style for the same reason, they gave it a more rigid frame and better suspension setup. But once again Mercedes parts and service = $$$$$$$
