Has anyone recently purchased a new navigation map? Currently have an 2005 that has 2004 version map. Would like to know if anyone has recently upgraded to newest version. Curious with respect to what the cost was and wether or not it was worth the upgrade.

Thanks in advance

yep. do search "lincoln navigation" and dig around. then go to bottom of page and click "show additional buy it now items from ebay stores" :-)

I did and most are the old (pre-4D) versions. I believe the new version is 4P.

resurecting because I kow I need an update as well. LS4ME you mentioned 4d and 4p are these hardware versions? What do I need to lookout for when shopping?

you need to stay away from the "ford/lincoln/mercury" discs you see on ebay. Most of those are for the newer all in one (pioneer) setups and not our Pioneer/Denso setups....

Please explain. Aren't the discs we have "all-in-one"? I would imagine that is one dvd for the entire country, which is what we have.

Not being critical here, just curious.

The newer vehicles w/dvd nav (F150, zephyr, etc) got a different navigation system. The FLM discs are for the newer system. I'm "fairly" certain we need the Black "Lincoln Specific" one.

When I said "all in one" I meant the dvd-rom drive and navigation computer in the newer FLM systems is all contained in the head unit....as opposed to our system which has 2 separate units (the head unit and trunk dvd/computer)
