I've been lookin to upgrade the conti (don't laugh) and was lookin at the new zex traction control system .(dry shot) would skip first and then set the low and high rpm range. It's only active at wot. If I keep it between the shift points do you think that would be ok to run? Also what are some of the down side to runnin nos. I'm not gonna use it all the time. I already have a 80mm maf, custom cold air intake, triple x pipe with flow master 40's, rear o2 sensor shut off. custom tune. Car dynoed alittle over 320. I know i'm already pushin the trans, but wondered if staying between the shift point with another 100 horrse would be safe. Not lookin to have the fastest car but don't wanna get punked out at the red light either. would have posted in the conti forum but their ideas of upgrades seem to be stero equipment(no offense) If it would be safe I figure I would need bigger injectors and fuel rails?

They told me alittle over 320 at the engine compared to the 275 stock.

they dont know what their talking about. unless they pulled the engine and strapped it to an engine dyno its a guess. dont ever let someone tell you wha the "engine" is making. go with WHP on a dyno and try to go to the same shop for all future dyno visits.

Why don't peeps just run their car at dragstrip then weigh the car at track and use online calcs to figure HP. Cheap easy and fun. And most of all no guessing. I myself like wet kits over dry so I don't tax stock injectors. But some peeps like the dry kit for the saftey factor. I don't bother with the pricey Zex stuff either I just set up a full throttle switch and done. Adding 100hp might hurt your trans but might not in small usage its always a gamble.

You don't need bigger injectors but get an upgraded fuel pump. Your custom tune probably advanced the timing so you need to get a nitrous tune. Start with a small 75 shot and work from there. The Zex kits are really high quality and have advanced tech, also the easiest to install. They are really cheap on ebay too brand new.

you sure you dynoed 320 and not 230?

VR4 you couldn't have been more right 232 was stock. 254 after parts and tune.

So stock injectors should be fine, upgrade the fuel pump and head back for a nitrous tune?
Looks like i'm never gonna hit 400 at the wheels. Guess I should shoot for 330.

What year Continental do you have? Are those numbers SAE corrected on a dynojet?

I have a 02 conti, I know that my dad brought home some bigger injectors and coil packs for it, that I put on when I got it last year. I know their not high performance but their suppose to be more than was on it. I"m not sure if it's SAE corrected. I'm gonna go ahead and order this zex system and put it on and have it tuned again with dyno time. I will be their this time when they do it and will ask what kind of dyno and if it's corrected or not. I know this is is never gonna be a super fast car off the line because of the wheel spin, but I have most my fun on the highway. I'm just lookin for something different. And I'll tell ya what I got alot more respect for you guys with the mark's with all the tunin and money you spend to get the most horses out of it, cause untill it's your turn you really have no idea how hard it is. I'm new to the dyno seen so I only know what i've searched and was told. I'll be sure to ask the questions you guys have mentioned.

So as of next week i'm gonna order the zex 75-125 dryshot, the traction control to save my cheap trans, and the 15 foot led spray kit. and can I get away with a fuel pump boost or should I just get a bigger fuel pump? Most of the reason for the nitrous is for my 100 mph lag i get untill it gets back into the powerband, but from 60 on up to a hundred she really shines.

I've out accelerated alot of cars on the highway with it, got whooped by a guy in a jetta, and passed up a race with a guy in a srt6. I avoid cobra's and anything that says srt on it. embarrassed alot of stangs, no 2005 on up's though. Plus she throws a pretty mean show from 25 to 40.

Thanks for you guys help, kinda feel like i'm goin at this alone and the only guide I have is the mark VIII forums.

Cool, you have an 02 means you have the better C heads on your 4.6... makes sense that you made 250+ wheel with your mods.
