Purolator dropped off a package from Eastwood today and Drivers Edge/FastEd got me the first parts of my next project!

The package from Eastwood had this:

I wanted to be sure if I hit any bumps that I wouldn't ruin the tires on my 20's, so figured this was the easiest way. The fender will rub lightly once in a while if I hit a good bump, so better to be safe than sorry!

...and this is part of whats going onto my next project for the car:

:D I can't wait to get the rest of the stuff!

Its a fender roller. Right?

I hope I dont have to do this to mine, thats why I am trying to decide if 245/35 is too much. But 225 seems too thin.

Yup, you got it unity ;)
I don't think you'll run into this problem though, as your tire is thinner and not as big around as the one I'm running (a 5mm each way makes a big difference!)

Pix's didn't show at first.

I ordered the same kit from Classic Tube. Honestly I sure didn't like the way they treated me after I had a problem and had spent $180 for 4 hoses.

I'm still at the the 2nd stage of checking.

I installed all the hoses. The one that I installed on the LF leaked immediately. I reinstalled the factory hose. No leak.
I sent the classic hose back at my cost. :( They sent the same one back. No new copper gaskets. :( I called and asked what they did. Siad they changed a fitting, but it didn't leak from the beginning.

I reinstalled it. It Leaked! :(

Then I ordered a new brake line from Jamie. ABS to the brake hose. $25 spent.

That's where I'm at right now. I haven't installed the new steel line yet or the Classic hose.

I've been sick.

I thought there were not options for stainless for the Mark and when there was (or is) they were a group buy/special made sortta thing?

tccoa did a group purchase a while back on the lines, u can still get them by calling classic tube, theyre not on their site.

Tom and Thomas were the ones who originally put together the group buy. If you call Tom at Classic Tube, they will still make a set for you, but not at the same cost as the group buy.

I got one fender rolled tonight before I ran out of light :)
The tool worrked great once I got the hang of it. It took some fiddling around with at first to get the angles right. The Lincoln rear fenders are double walled with spot welds though, so I couldn't get the lip totally flat as it would have pushed the spot welds into the outer panel and made a small 'divit'. It's less than 1/2 the width now though!
This tool would make cake work of a single panelled car or one with with thinner panels. Good to see Lincoln still used thick metal though as most cars nowadays are 'thin'!
I used a heat gun to warm the lip while doing this and didn't have a single ship of paint come off at all! I was really worried about this to begin with, but probably didn't even need the heat. I'll still warm the other side to be sure though.

Now to get up and finish the other side (which should be much quicker as I know what I'm doing now!)

I'm going to start on the Cobra brakes f&r with slotted rotors too :D

Look, fresh out of the oven!:

I painted them even though they are brand new as they came dark grey, thou they call them 'black'. This way they will match the rear calipers and the brackets...

baseball bat not good enough for you? :p

R4s....VERY nice. i love them for a street car.

Actually, once I was done today, I used a bat to tweak a spot I didn't do right to begin with ;) I didn't feel like taking the tires off again and putting it up on stands etc, lol... :D

Anyone want to buy this Fender roller from me? I was thinking of renting it out to make my money back, but I don't think I want to deal with all that entails...

Another addition to the car (it was fun to install as the exhaust hanger is right were the left girdle bolt is!):

It's for the IRS, Atomic Performance sells them, good guys to deal with.
It is a direct bolt on, but I did run into one small problem.
The exhaust hanger on my car is right were the drivers side foot-bolt is, so I had to bend it into a curve to clear it which was a lil fun, but it installed good other wise.
Getting the upper sub-frame bolts off that hold the rear diff mount on the car was a bit of a challenge, but air tools took care of that, and I put anti-seize on there so it will come off easy next time if need be :)
It's great to have a drain and fill plug now too!
It's a damn shame that you can't see the cover very well once installed as it looks great :D

lol... I wish :shifty:
I'm done now for the year, just need to replace a leaking front strut that decided to leak for no reason... I saved all last year to do some of these things and am still into my credit now, lol...
