New member here. I will admitt that I was only looking for information on how to change out the A/C cabin filter on the Wife's LS. However after spending a little time reading through the forums I am impressed with what this car is capable of. My spouse has wanted an LS for a number of years, but a little over a year ago I found what I felt was too good of a deal to let pass. I bought her a new off the lot 2005 LS V-8 pretty nicely loaded for over $13K off of the MSRP sticker. She simply put loves the car. And now my feelings for it seems to be on the rise.
Thanks for all the great information. I look forward to doing more reading and research so that I can make this Lincoln a stronger toy to drive and enjoy.

I had thought about doing that, but then on of my other toys would have to go. I am out of parking space due to the following: 2006 F-250 reg cab V-10 6-speed, 03 F-450 crew cab Lariat 4x4, 03 Eddie Bauer Expedition 4x4, 06 F-150 XLT crew flareside, 05 F-450 Jayco Escapade 31' motorhome, 1977 F-600 cab chassis truck, 40' Travel Supreme 5th wheel, plus three more specality trailers.
Guess the wife will have to share.

I did indeed find information on replacement of the in cabin A/C filter. However I was also telling my spouse about a filter located under the seat of the driver and passenger. She was wondering if there may be a filter I could place in my own seat (out of the car) for the purpose of filtering the air. Not sure what she meant, but she did say the carbon filter sounded like the way to go and would be well worth the money.

There is a seat filter on the heated & cooled LS front seats. It takes a while for that filter to need replaced. That one can be cleaned but I would be surprised if your 2005 needs it. Where and how to change the filters can be found in the owner’s manual on or about page 157. If you don’t have the owner’s manual you can down load it from TECH ARTICLES at the top of the page.

Oh yeah!! His lady has taste and a sense of humor! You scored my friend. Oh by the way, nice fleet of trucks. I can only settle for my 77' F250 with the 460.
