New tint, tails, side, and more to come

Finally got around to washing my LS. Heres some pics of the new tinted tails. I wanted to go with something different than the usual all the way black, so I had them (Elite customs and collisions) spray a light/medium them mash off the ridges and spray a dark over the whole thing. Let me know what you think.
My tint was peeling and fading real bad (almost purple) so I had it redone from a buddy for 225 to remove and retint the whole car. I'm very well known by the police around here (dumb punk kid) so I wanted to do it the legal way, did 35 all around (hate the look of a darker rear and lighter front, like the car to look the same through out) and 5% on the rear to make it darker in the back.
As some of you know from my previous post Side swipped LS, I had to get the side of the LS repaired and so I thought I'd post some pics of the work.
Future mods this summer.
-Have front and rear emblems removed and filled and repainted.
-Side LS emblems either painted or filled
-Eyebrows are cracking and flaking off so I'm having them paint the eyebrow on and then clear coating the headlights to make it look factory.
-Upgrade bulbs, anyone have any good suggestions, LSK is out of Hoen so I was looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...&item=180111349732&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1
Anyone had these or heard anything about them.
-Adding another amp for my 10s and adding a 4channel to the mids and highs, Might be adding a headunit or TV.

Whats pointless about that comment. If you look at cars that have 35% on the front and 5% on the rear its a huge difference and makes the car look choppy. With the rear window 5% front the side it all looks the same. The rear just adds some darkness to the whole car. Kinda hard to emplain, but I hope you understand.

Rims are Mega 960s, 20" with Nitto tires.
 
35 all around and 5 in the rear aint the same all around..

Just had to be a ass thats all.:D

But I do like it...
 
i know what you mean about 35 on the front and 5 on the back, looks so cheesy imo. i know when i move back to nc from fla they are gonna hassle me hard about 5 percent all the way around so i'll prolly do 35 all around except 5 on the back glass jus like yours. i like your rear end its so black hahah i like the reverse lights too. my only concern is the light output of the reverse lights at night, how much less is it? although it shouldn't matter much now that you've lightened up the tint
 
The taillights look real nice im liking the blacked out look alot. Makes me almost wish my ls was black.

I have been wanting to get mine done for quite a while but I dont know any shops around here that do them and I can't be without my car for a week to send them to JohnsTintedTails. I too was wanting to do the reverse lights like that. My car has more chrome than yours so I dont know how the blackout look would suite it.

I wanna see this when its done, I have liked that idea, but for the side emblems I noticed a LS the same year as mine or ..at least the same gen as mine, that didnt have a emblem space at all on the side. And it was a old man driving it so I doubt he filled it in. Anyone know anythin about this?

It was the molding on the fender where the "LS" is slaped on and the LS wasnt there, it was just smooth.

your looks nice! I like your user name as well.
Im 18 and got my LS when I was 17 (junior in HS). Working two jobs nonstop, I cant tell you how many times people tell me to give the car back to my dad! or hey looks like you got your daddys car! How much did your parents pay for that thing?

UGH pisses me off. Oh well it usually comes from jealously. BUt I like the front end of your car the most! I have the Mclaren grill as well and it flows nice with the eyebrows. only difference is I have the o3 (black fogs). I couldnt agree more with the tint combo as well. I have 20% all around, and the front will automatically be brighter cuz of the windshield so why not do the same.

Cool I wanna find them somehow, beats paying to have it filled and then painted unless they cost $$$$$$$ and can only be bought certain ways like the emblems.

Does anyone know if I can just order the side moulding off a 02 and have it painted to match my car. are the interchangeable.

As far as filling in the front and back, im getting a real good deal on all the work. If I remember correct to do everything I named above (fill in front and back, repaint, fill sides, repaint, paint on eyebrows and clearcoat) I think my total was 300 or there abouts. Cant go wrong with that price.

to my understanding only 2000 and some 2001 Lincoln LS' came with the "LS" in the fender molding. and for future reference, the "V8" emblem does not fit in place of "LS" on the fender molding.

Knowing Ford you will probably need to order a new front fender to get that "LS" piece removed. Personally i like it. But maybe im biased because mine has it :p
 
im about to hit 84000, one good thing about the LS breaking down all the time is it spends a lot of time in the shop so you dont get a chance to run the miles up.
 
hahaha yeah that too. Its like you get to buy it a gift every other month for driving good for that one month.
