hey i just painted the rear surround, chrome corners and the mclaren grill let me know what you guys think

howed you paint the chrome bumper pieces? I took it to 3 shops all said it would be pointless to paint them.
 
i took them off sanded them real good two coats of flexible primer then three coats of base then three coats of clear been done for a week and still looks good
 
Nice and clean! I see you don't have the emblems on the front or back. Did you paint over them or take them off? If you aren't going to run those then IMHO you should debadge the rest of the car by taking off the "LINCOLN" and "LS" badges. Super clean!
 
hey thanks guys and i crack the front emblem so thats why they are both off and i not sure what i going to do yet with them if i want black or red so thats why there off. plus on the lincoln and ls badges on the back im not sure what im going to do with them i have a couple ideas that im thinking about

Was it a pain getting the rest of the paint off?

I got a great idea for those rear letters! How about taking them off and then placing them in a trash can!?;)
 
j all i really did was sand it then primer then base then clear it turn out great thanks for the grill again

Looks really good!! I just had the rear suround and chrome piece on my grill painted black about two weeks ago. Is that the Mach 1 chin spoiler?
 
looking kinda murder-ed out....nice....just think that some chrome rims and maybe the LSE kit and spoiler would seal the deal and put you in the top 5 LS's..... I'm being an arm chair quarter back.....I think the front couldn;t look better with the chin spoiler and the eyebrows though....good work man
 
i like the lse front bumper but i like having that mach lip on there and i also want to sell my wheels and get all black
 
Yeah, I put pics up in the official pic thread. Not what I expected. Im mixed on it.

The code is TS like my car but it is kind of off. I guess do to the age of my car.
 
yea i would like to have one i might sometime if i find one at the right price
 
Dude, might I recommend you check out the chrome front directional light bulbs that flash orange when turned on. They clean up the front lights nice and cheap. FYI car looks good!
 
nice looking car. Just saw the kentucky plate what part are you from. We need to get a meet going around here.
 
Put the black badges on there. Other than that I think it looks awesome.
