Aloha
Have decided to get a Mark VIII LSC. Probably a 98, maybe a 94-95 LSC. I have been reading the posts and I enjoy that 99% of you respect one another. Very good info and now I know some of the important things to look out for when searching for a Mark VIII.

There was no LSC option in 94. Only in 95,96, 97, & 98 could one get and LSC Mark VIII. That catch is that Ford was nice enough to basically call all Mark VIIIs LSCs. It often shows on the title or registration card. While its true that all Mark VIIIs are LSCs (luxury sport coupe) they do not all have the LSC badge (option) so be careful when looking. A lot of dealer will list an LSC when in fact it is a base. The lack of chrome inserts is the easiest was to tell (unless you can see the LSC badge on the trunk)

:W :waving:

Great info above! Enjoy the hunt for your Mark VIII. You may even want to thinnk about geting a Mark VII for giggles, too!

thanks for the info unity. Any way to tell by VIN if it an LSC
95-96 can't be recognized in the VIN, 97-98 can. 97-98 are easy to spot because of the painted grill and tail-light trim. 95-96 look for the chrome on the bumpers and door to be missing. Perforated seats are another easy thing to spot.
