Bought a 2006 LS, has all options, 86k paid 8k for it. Owned it a week before I lowered it.

Unlowered:

I don't have too much for future plans, maybe some wheels, tint and a stereo with blue tooth. I'd like to get a CAI and a tune for it, but I also have another little project that I should be spending money on:

Very nice!!!! Welcome! GL with everything. Keep us updated on both!!!

Looks good, but why would you want to take out the THX unit?

It does. It's an anagram for my wife's name, we had a sticker laying around that was her name, so we took it apart and rearranged it.

Unless all the failure devices have been replaced/repaired, a search of this forum will reveal, I would save my money then do mods. Especially VCGs/COPS & plugs. Heating/cooling system components and new PVC system also. They all fail at the wrong time!!!!

Are these big issues with the 2006 models? The car fax showed that the injectors and driver's seat have been replaced, and it was very well maintained.

VCGs are not an issue with the 05 or 06 or even most 04s. (There can always be exceptions.)
COPs and plugs you can pretty count on having to do every 100K miles.
All the plastic parts of the cooling system will have to be replaced every so often as well. If it hasn't already been done once, you can count of needing to do it now.
You shouldn't have much trouble other than that. Oh, and check the rear toe-links too.

Well she's gone. I'll always love that car, so nice and such and amazing all around car. I'm just a lowered truck guy, and had to have one.

Replacing it with a 2003 HD f150

I wish I could take the ride an interior of the LS and put in the truck!
