new head unit feedback now!!!

ok so I'm looking I get a new head unt for the car, but the question is what should I get?!?! I went to the local stereo shop and they don't have the Pioneer d3 anymore since it's discontinued...then he wanted to get me into the new Kenwood dnx9140 which doesn't come out til may and retails for $1900. anyways I wanted too see what you guys have in your cars and maybe some suggestions too! Thanks

I always find shops way more expensive then buying head units from onlinecarstereo.com or amazon.com. Oh and I don't have one yet but I'm thinking of the Pioneer Avic-700 it's a great looking model

I bought the Avic Z3 the other week. I love it!

If that's too spendy you could go Z1 or Z2, and upgrade to Z3. Same damn thing pretty much.

Car stereo shops wanted to gouge the hell outta me, for half assed equipment. For a hundred bucks more, I got a Z3 online and just installed it myself.

It was worth it, trust me! Nothing like driving down the street, watching a movie, having the nav direct you, AND talking via bluetooth on the phone.

i like crutchfield.com but for some reason they say a double din radio wont fit in the LS... and the only kit they have is for a single din. Other than that, the site is good... comes with free harness and instructions and kit (if you buy a radio they say will fit, that is.) with whatever you buy.

I have always liked the Eclipse units. Right now it looks like they have done away with the HDD double dins though. They have taken the double slot, CD and DVD/Nav drive from the D3. Bout 500 bones at Sonicelectronix

i have an AVIC F900bt and i love it, and since it runs a windows OS, there are a lot of mods that can be done to it, $530 shipped (ontimedigital.com)

I got a kenwood DNX 5120 in the LS and a Pioneer F700bt, they Pioneer is better byfar, just takes longer to load up.

How much did the Z2 run you after uprgrading? I know I could have gone cheaper but I wanted the name lol

I spent 1300 and got the bluetooth module and backup camera with it.
