The ones I did have on there were the same color as the valve covers, but I wanted to try something new. I had some old ones laying around so I decided to polish them and see how they look. Tell me what ya think. There not as shiny as chrome, but hey, it was my first time. Sorry about the crappy pic, but my camera is acting funny. Ther valve covers really arent that light.

Isnt a trac-lok a type of limited slip diff?

Heres a better pic.

Yes. One thing though. No offense.. Just my opinion. Your engine compartment would look super clean if you got rid of all those blue wire looms and spray some simple green on your front timing cover and powerwashed it.If you need to... use black looms. I know it wont match your covers but it will look so much cleaner.

i can agree.... I think if go to a black wire loom, and paint that looks like a metal coolant line. I think the blue looks good but you have over done it. I would even splurge the 2-3 bucks and replace the oil cap. All and all though, those polished cop cover things (is cop cover the real name of them?) look pretty good.

This I know. Your engine compartment looks better than mine. Recently detailed mine but I have a beauty cover. Underneath it needs work. Agree with redoing the plastic wire covers as it is just little to much blue. Can't come up with a color to complement your blue however. Perhaps the suggested black is best. Then your new polish job and blue covers would really pop. :)

the intake kinda gives me a stiffy

the valve covers look nice.

if I were to be critical I'd lean with the crowd.
IMHO the blue looms distract from the 4V beauty

you know, some girls dont need makeup.

also, call max at five star and order some new alt bolts (they are cheap)
and while you have him on the phone get a new oil cap.

P.S. overall it looks nice sir

hmmmm I also think everything that hasnt been done somehow like your alt, takes away from everything else. Maybe instead of the wireloom being where it is, spend a day or so and hide most of them. not too hard a job, but makes a world of difference. while you in there you can increase the size of the grounding wires and get some added reponce and power.

I would like to thank you all for the advice! I will put some black looms on there and repolace all the blue. I know I have a lot of work to do under the hood. I need to paint the cross over tube, pwr steering resivor bracket, and clean the front timing cover. Its still a work in progress. I hope to have it all done by spring for the Fabulous Ford Forever car show in Bueano Park. Is anyone else planning on going there?

I only like black wire loom... I also do not like badging on the engine, I like the engine to speak for itself.

Replace that damn oil cap... also The intake is awesome!

It will pop once you have everything nice and clean.

Well give me some time. LOL. Jamie is to thank for the intake, He sanded the hell out of it and powdercoated it "reflective chrome" and it looks great. He also did the valve covers and I couldnt be happier. Like I said I got some more work to do before its done, but its a good start.

Have you seen the textured blue valve covers? I saw them on a gt500 motor at the auto show last year in ford racing's display area. They look very nice. I think I'm going to go with textured black covers and gloss black intake

i saw something similar to the textured covers.... sex on wheels! I may end up doing mine like that.

Chadly, out of curiosity, what made you go blu for the VC and chrome for the intake?

Its an old school ford thing.. The blue that is. I think they look WAY better textured blue.
