hello group I am a new owner of a 98 lsc that I got from warden, very happy with car, but it does have a few issues that are common to the make (not complaining at all) one problem that I had was the seat bracket was broke so I welded that nicee nice, but when I put it back in the car the manual switch will not work and the auto-glide feature does not work,(worked ok prior to repair) but when you use the memory buttons the seat will go all the way forward and back and the easy entry works ok. I tried to do a continuity check on the switch but got nada. Is that a relay or a switch?

new switch is $155.86 @ tasca

Second thing I noticed is seeing how it has been raining in New England (fells like 4ever) I have noticed that the windows fogged up like crazy (no smell of the noturious antifreeze effect) Was wondering if water could be collecting somewhere ( rug, headliner and trunk are dry ) I looked around all the windows ( front has been replaced ) and did not see water running down.

Well all in all this is a very nice car and my wish list is long and expensive, just wanted to say that reading all the posts have help in my search for this car.

Thanks 2 all

I cant help you on your issues but I'd like to welcome a fellow RI resident to LVC. Congrats on the new ride.

have you checked the ac drain? i havent dared to look for it on a mk8 (on the pass side firewall) but if you pull the blower motor and there is water in there i would try that its a small rubber hose sticking out of the firewall just take a small screw driver and just put it inside and if its plugged it wont be anymore, just stay clear its just condinsation from inside the heaterbox thats supposed to drain but anything small can plug the hole. and congrats on the mk8 purchase we need more gen 2 guys out there
