Took one to my mufflers, finally. Was weary to do so since I have no forwards cats, just the third and resonator. The sound is more than I hoped, but I like it. My camera is not working right otherwise I would have video for ya. It just looks odd without tips.

Its all temporary anyway since I need to get 2.5" exhaust put in soon, but I have to try it out!

If I can get audio of it, I will. At idle its amazing.

I already have the mufflers and tips for a 2.5" dual system I'm building, but hell... if it sounds nice enough I might just hack them off!

I just moved it out of the "working bay" and into its parking spot. I am amazing by how little sound there is in the cabin. I have a highway cruise tomorrow and will see how the drone is.

Now that I stretched its legs, its really not too bad. Even my neighbor says its sounds great but not to raspy and not enough for the cops to pull me over, but I said I would let him know on that one....

it is a great, cheap mod-and I like that it 'livens up' the sporty nature of the beast-gets attention wherever you go, and I honestly think pretenders back off when confronted with a little throttle-enjoy the dark side...:) :) :) :) :)

I hacked my mufflers off my 1st mark, welded on 3.5" polished stainless tips, and drove it like that for 3 years. I loved it.

Took it out on the highway, slight drone at cruising speed and 2100 RPM. At 3000 RPM is got a little annoying. I think some sound proofing in the trunk and rear fenders would help that.

Still happy, but I do tip-toe around town a little.

is that all you did was cut off the muffs and extend the pipe back to the tips? sounded good on the cruise, if so i might have to copy that hmmmmmmm:shifty:

That tis all I did, Just welded the tips onto the new pipe.

Theres a little drone under light acceleration but nothing the radio can't cover up.
