Neon brakelight doesn't light up at all?

Among the 10 other things wrong with my car, I just realized that the center neon brakelamp does not light up at all with either the headlights turned on and when the brake pedal is pressed down. I'm sure the fuse is good, what could be wrong and where do I start with troubleshooting!!!

Most likely your ballast is shot. Here is a link to a replacement ballast that is only $90 whereas the factory unit is like $400 or something crazy like that. Shoot Glitch an email and he should be able to help you test the unit to make sure that the ballast is what the problem is, and help you order one of his ballast kits.

did you check the wiring? i had to splice mine back together last week.
