Ok im going to be sincere and when i saw mhollhuts car with the painted rims i went catatonic with the look. So,I made my decision and I wanted to know what do you think of my next mod list. And here it is: Ohh my Cars color is Midnight Grey so you can imagine the look:

-17" Stock Rims painted Satin Black
-Sprint Lowering Springs
-255-45-17 Tires
-LSE Rear Valance painted Flat Black so it can combine with my 2001 Mach-1 Chin Spoiler Retrofit...

Thanks

Alfonso

Dude, how hard was that Mach 1 chin to install.
About two weeks ago, managed to snag the bottom plastic piece on a parking lot curb and it busted a couple of the mounting pins.
So if I have to replace it anyway, I might just change to the chin piece and see how long it takes my wife to notice it on her car.

Ok.You would have to modify the chin to make it fit. Right now i dont remember how to explain how to do it since i didnt install mine. That was a present from my best friend on my b-day

But give me your opinion on my mods.

Alfonso, that Mach 1 chin spoiler is friggen awesome looking! Attached another shot of it below for others to view...

You know how I feel about the painted wheels :D But I'd have to say that the gunmetal paint that I have on my wheels would almost exactly match your car. Not sure if you can find a wheel paint in satin black. The duplicolor wheel paint covers great. If you're looking for durability and a nice satin color.. check into having them powdercoated. My budy had flat black powedercoated SVT thunderbird wheels on his white '97 SHO... looked sick.

If need tires, I'd say go with as large as you can... I stepped back to OEM 245/45/17 to try a different brand. But, I wouldn't get tires just to get them. If you're going to paint your wheels, wait until after you get the tires.

Lowering springs are always a good idea. I have SpringTech's so I can't comment on the quality of the Sprints.

The rear LSE valance is a 50/50 shot... it's made to flow with the rest of the ground effects on the LSE, and if you see it in person, from the side, it really doesn't look that good without the rest of the kit... especially since it's just primered. Another option for you would be to get the lower valence for an '03+ that has the existing cutouts... that way, you can add some nice tips to it and still paint it to match the front lip.

Well, I agree with Mholhut, go with a later bumper cover, then you can always add a trimline with masking and spray paint.

Yeap thats the one.The part number i have written down on the box is 3R3Z-17626-AAA

Do you have any pics from the side on your cardomain page. If so, can you give me the link?......thxs

When you say "painted rims"..do you mean just the spokes, or the ENTIRE wheel. If I recall, one of the members has fully painted rims, and to me. (again, just my opinion), from the pictures, it looks like the rims are coated with brake dust. Perhaps in person the look is much different? Either way, I think (again.personal opinion) that at a minimum, the lip circumference of a colored wheel should be the natural aluminim finish, or the polished aluminum finish for contrast purposes.

As an aside, I have a set of 4 stock LSE rims (with the spokes that are painted from the factory) sitting in my basement with pretty well worn stock Firehawk tires mounted on them. Off of memory, 2 of the rims have some curb rash, but I think the other 2 were near perfect. If interested, PM me.

Im going to paint the entire wheel... but the area were you have your curb rash will be repainted stock color so in other way it would look like the photoshop:

I say you get 18 or 19 inch Moda R6 wheels. The reason I say this is because they are similar to the LS 5 spoke wheels. Also, when you get a wheel with any color but chrome or silver, they tend to look a little smaller.
