Use the OEM shocks. Believe it or not, they are the best. Looks like you have the base model. If you want a firmer ride upgrade to the sport shocks. springs should be OK, but if you want to go lower and reduce body roll, Eibach's are the best bet.

tubby, you are in brooklyn, im near manhattan. I got a 2000 LS6 too....where do you get your work done on your car? I can't take it to the dealer any more, they are too expensive. You got any suggestions on where I can take it?

i normal do my own work but when i dont know to do it then i take it to a shop thati been going to for years. almax auto bklyn ny one stillwell avenue

I want to upgrade my suspension with the lowing springs and sport shocks as well. Do I need to make any other adjustments or parts for the lowered suspension? Or will a new alignment work just fine?

We sell Gabriel shocks and struts where I work, I havnt seen any come back for a return or because they sucked horribly. A lot of places like Autozone etc carry them too.
