I have been trying to find Matte Black rims, everytime i find something it doesnt fit. I need something 18'' or 19" matte/flat black with no chrome or metal on it (basically, no lip). Any suggestions??? I was considering painting or powder coating my stock 5 spoke rims but they are too small and for the cost it will still look weak. I like the classic subtle look of all the stock rims.

saw some matte black with a chrome lip 18s on ebay originally for a jag S-type but the guy is listing them for Lincoln LS too

bolt pattern 5x108

why are we "LMAO"

Something else that would help, is cars with the same bolt pattern that might be easier to find.

Those cars all have the same problems as us man.

I say paint the stockers like you mentioned.

Good luck.

I got lucky when my 18 Hot Wheels rims that I had on my Taurus fit my LS. Saved me about a grand, and all I had to do is spend the time to take them off one car and put them on the other.

I do not appreciate the light hearted approach to this matter. JWerner2, fiy i am trying your DIY smoked turn signals this weekend. Any more tips? How to i get the side markers off?

Do a search on this site for the DIY on opening the lights and removing the lens. Or you can also look in the tech pages on LSK. I just dont want to run your post off topic.

You can maybe find a set of Volvo wheels and paint those. Lots of those wheels come painted silver which makes the process easier and fit the LS but Im not sure if they can be found over 17" and if so they are only 7"-7.5" wide. Yuck! I say do the stockers or find a cheap scratched up set of aftermarkets that needs some fixin.

I have yet to see anyone color-match their wheels to their car (besides the obviously overdone black car with black wheels). hmmm....

We missed the memo that says we have to be extremely serious in this matter since your highness posted here... We will have to flog the people who failed to bring us said memo.

With that said, why don't you buy a set of wheels you like and won't look... weak, (and are of the correct bolt pattern and backspacing), and paint those?

Make them look strong though. Weak looking wheels are so... white boy. Get some 22's and be stylin', y0!

Word.

Hes just busting your balls.

FYI some of those higher end model Volvos are wearing BBS brand wheels.

Worth a shot looking into some used and just repairing them and painting them like I said.

Do some searching on some Volvo forums also. Someone said over in Europe some companies still manufacture 1x108 and can be popular. Lots of cars from Europe are FWD so offset is high as well. I saw a decent set on a forum for around a grand but the only problem is the cost of shipping.

You should use four of the full size spares that cam on the LS. They are matte black and I have yet to see anyone use them. I will post a pic if you would like to see what they look like.

My full size is powder coated silver.

You sure you arent talking about the graphite LSE wheels from the first gen LSE?

This is what my spare looks like. Not exactly your 55 mph spare.

Wow, all the factory wheel threads and nothing about that. Amazing how you never stopping learning small tid bits here.

I know a site called wheelcollision.com that carries all types for the LS and most other vehicles and never saw those. Thats od as hell.

Thats a rarity man.

My thinking was that no one else has them, so it would be rare to see another LS with them... and they are matte black like he wanted. Only down side is they are 16" wheels.
