need help

hey whaz up guys i need help . here the problem when i turn on the car it goes to 2000 rpm and put out a white cloud then after about 30 sec it goes down, but when i give it gas the throttle sticks. it only does it once in a while but is becoming more ferqently. the cars is 1997 mark viii with 158000 miles

You have a leaking valve cover. It will only get worse. Not is the time to change the valve cover gaskets. If you leave it unchecked, your spark plug will detinate and take out a COP, like what happened to me.

kinda sounds like a IAC and being a second gen they are very easy to replace (small can on the very top of the intake) and relatively cheap too
