my no. 11 fuse that is for the hazard lamps and the brake lamp and the brake pressure switch in my 93 mark viii keeps blowing as soon as I put it in,anybody know why????or any one in chicago area can please look at my car??

My first guess if the trunk harness. Look inside the trunk to the left hinge. The harness breaks up A LOT on these cars. You will probably have to peel back the coverings. Inspect the wires and fix any that may be broke.

More than a few had this problem. Depending on how bad it is you may also notice the remote transmitter may not work al the time and the trunk pop button may act up.

Next to check would be the multi-function switch.

yes thats what no.11 fuse says brake preesure switch that alows you to come out of park(shifter)

I mentioned that in his original thread, he never responded if he'd checked that or not.

That is pretty common on the mark 8's.

Open the trunk.. look near the drivers side trunk hinge..
you'll see the wire harness for the rear lights.

Betcha, those wires have gotten cut by the the carpet for the trunk.
The wires move when you open and close the trunk and they fray on the backing of the trunk carpet.

you should see 2-3,5 cut or frayed wires in that location.

hope this helps
