Need factory Stereo help

Hi guys, I have a 1998 Mark. My radio plays fine but when I switch to cd player it only plays through the passenger side speakers. even when I tried the balance to get it to the drivers side there is nothing. Radio plays like it is suppose to. What the Freakin Heck? Please somebody help

you may need to check the connections on the back of the radio where the digital connection to the head unit is. the cd input wires may be loose or broken. you may also want to check the connections at the cd changer in the trunk to verify connection there.
