Somebody throw some ideas out there. We need to have one. If somebody helps me out i'll get the ball rolling on planning it. NYC area. We should do it soon before its time for winter rims and things like that.

If an admin can make this sticky I would be obliged.
 
I like the idea.... NYC isnt central to the NE though.... I was thinking more like CT maybe at foxwoods

Next weekend is memorial day, which im gonna go with my gut and count it out. So, the first weekend in September is the first available date. keep some ideas rolling here.
 
well I'll be in Fall river mass this sunday.... Xarruda will be there without his car i think, but if any of you are down for a pretty big show, ccome one out! its for charity. See my thread Cure For Kids Car show for details.
 
This Charity show you speak of sounds like a good plan. However, and not to be a debbie downer, but that doesn't change the fact of the matter that we haven't had a meet, atleast i've never been to one and I've been around for a year. Which brings me to my next point, don't smoke crack. (JK...anybody remember that from the Waterboy...hilarious...watch it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfHOQAT0-Mk.) Ok but seriously keep this thread rolling guys, im thinking about possibilites for times and places. Somebody get on board with me here.
 
How far is Foxwoods from Staten Island? And is this gonna be for Ls's only or any Lincoln?
 
You know what, I don't really like foxwoods, but ill make the trip if we get some takers. I'd say right now the priority is getting our LS's out there, but I believe that having some others tag along would be cool too.
 
i just picked foxwoods cause its central to all of NE and they have tons of parking to just chill in and talk about cars or whatever. just an idea....I'm always down for a good drive
 
2 hours? Surely you haven't spent much time on the Gowanus or Brooklyn/Queens Expressway or the Cross-Bronx or I-95 up through the Bronx. It takes 2 hours to go 20 miles around here daily. :lol:
 
lol...yeah i worked at Yankee Stadium for a while and the cross bronx is a nightmare ...and thats just leading into the belly of the beast that is NYC traffic.....but I think if Fox Woods wouldnt mind a bunch of hooligans rolling up in gangster mobiles its a good idea..... I'm certainly willing to drive there.....maybe somebody could gimme a few more suggestions in the NE area for a meet just so we can make sure we make the best decision... How bout a roll call of peoples locations...that way we can decide whether or not closer to NYC would make sense.....im about 20 mins out of NYC in a sleepy town called tappan
 
If I offered a free T-shirt to all attendees do you think that would entice more members to come??? I dont have any t shirts, but maybe I can offer them as a promotional scheme. But then I suppose I'd have to go out and buy some t shirts. How bout something more realistic like , dinner at wendy's on me. Whata ya say? C'mon guys lets make this meet happen. Theres frosty's and chicken nuggets involved on me.
 
I'm obviously jk.....but i really wanna go to a meet, and as they say, If you want something done you gotta do it yourself. However ideas from others are very appreciated.
 
What about somewhere near Bear Mountain? I've heard that have huge car shows up there from time to time. Not real sure where or how far it is, but I guess I'll have to go Google it now.
 
Only problem with bear mpountain is that some of these chaps from way up north like NH would have to pack up the family and get new jobs to make the trip. Bear mountain is a good idea though, maybe we could get an LS section at one already existing show up there.... hmmm....
 
I'll be willing to attend the meet. I guess I will bring my Ls though. I was thinking about breaking out my 64 continental. She should be ready within the week.
