And why would that be? The aftermarket units go right in and you can always switch back. There are a few folks that covered this before and it seemed you were getting into new car $$$ to get the factory nav in a non-equipped car.lexmarkz00 said:Well, perhaps he's like me and would never put an aftermarket kit in his car... regardless of how much cheaper/better it was.
beaups said:don't bother. others have researched and a ton of $$$ just for the wiring harnesses. I have the factory nav and can tell you there are MUCH better aftermarket kits out there for a lot less $$$ (eclipse, pioneer)
but it's not factoryBanginLS said:why would u get CD's and such? u can get the pioneer navi system that doesnt require those cd's for less than 1000 installed.. plus u get so many more options.. Ipod, DVD, rear view cam. etc.. if ur going to spend money on something, why not get something with the most options?
That's what I saidlexmarkz00 said:Your dealer said it wasn't possible? WTF?
And yeah, the aftermarket ones might have all those features, but as far as looks are concerned, nothing compares to OEM.

!! I myself would rather have the factory unit if it was possible.. but the dealer says its not possible does anyone know why?? Someone has surely done it, I know it isn't the top of the line or does't have all the options the after market ones I have done my homework there but would just rather have the factory one in there
