So i just got the TC, and it was running great when i got it. It is a 1992 TC with 166K on the ODO. The car was sitting for a while when i first got it and it didn't want to crank right away. It started then shut off, then after about two more tries it started and stayed running. Some white smoke came out of the tail pipe but after the car ran for a while the smoke dissappeared, It also leaked a little bit of Oil, I drove the car around for a bit and noticed that it idled a little rough, but on the highway it was fine. Drove the car from DE to NC. When i got to NC the car was a quart of Oil Low. Topped it off and drove it to work everyday for a week. That weekend, was on the highway and noticed it stated to run hot, pulled over and shut the car off, looked under the hood and there was a hose that went from the Valve Cover to the firewall with a sensor in the middle. This was a high pressure heater hose according the maintenance manual, and it was leaking pretty bad. Had the car towed to this ghetto repair shop and they supposedly fixed the hose and the oil leak, got me for $300 :( . Was driving on saturday and noticed the car started to run hot again, pulled over and this time there was antifreeze all over the place, i couldn't see where it was coming from. Had the car towed again to antother shop i trusted more. Shop looked at it and they told me there was no oil in the car which was a suprise since when i got the car back from the first shop there were no puddles in my driveway or anything. The coolant leak is coming from a hose that sits behind the alternator, looks like it is in the middle of the engine block, not sure what hose that is. Also another weird thing, the car will not go over 79MPH, at 79 it bucks almost like its a limiter or something. Any one have any ideas as to what that hose is that is leaking and why the car will not go over 79 mph? thanks Guys.
