I have heard a lot of complaints about the LSes lately, so I just wanted to chime in and say that my LS is doing great. I am about to hit 60K on my 02 and have only ever had a few minor common problems. I am fairly hard on the car too. Thanks Lincoln!!

Dont post things like this when you darn well know it a lie. On my way to work, my valve cover gaskets fell out, my wheel bearings all broke in 1/2, all 4 window regulators broke after I went over a curb and now my trans keeps going into 6th gear on the highway. j/k :D

Glad to hear your LS is good.

Overall mine is good too. I'm at 75k. I just have little issues:

  • Clockspring (too lazy to fix it)
  • Front brakes (no time yet)
  • Drivers side seat heater (not really an issue)
  • The button that disables window control for passengers (annoys me)

Amusingly I HAVE fixed drivers side seat heater and clockspring. Neither job took over 2 hours. Add a new rain sensor and that is all so far except for my brake jobs.

My LS is the isht. I love it.

As I was leaving work yesterday and driving out of the parking garage, the attendant said to me "That's a beautiful car, sir."

Not a single problem with my 06 LS. Best car I ever owned -- even better than my 2003 LS!

Enjoying mine as well. 5 years with this one come december. Only real engineering complaint? The auto transmissions lazy performance when attempting any sort of spirited driving. At least it's fairly durable though

About to turn 77k on my 02V8 and front brakes are my only repair. Rears are close to getting done. I consider that maintenance like oil changes and a/c filters so really not a single problem yet. I'm not easy on it at all.

just crossed 57k, i have a single bad coil, but its getting fixed tommorow, i love my lincoln! i get compliments all day, or the stare down

And you do realize when referencing more than one LS all you have to type is LS' just thought I'd let you know before society stones you for being illierate....that being said, congrats and the best of luck to you and your '02.

I just turned over 60k on my 02 V8 last week. Ive replaced 3 dead coils, one just this past weekend actually, and the valve cover gaskets. Its probably getting close to brake job time though, which is no big deal. I have gotten a completely random Check advance track light twice in the 4 months I've owned the car. Still have no clue what thats about. And the Airbag light has been on for about 2 months now, which hasn't bothered me enough to fix it yet, but ill have to do that sooner or later because the state inspection is out in December and any warning lights on in the dash will fail it. Other than that I cant complain, except for the sthity tires... which will probably get replaced with some snow treads soon.
:L :D

I knew there were happy LS owners out there!

King03LS8 thanks for the correction LS'

47k miles on my 04 v8 and i did have to repalce a bad coil but it was covered under warrenty other than a wheel balance that i need my baby is running high...... about time we had a thraed like this, we should all do this eavery 5k or 3 months to see how many LS's will be running fine by this time next year...

I am getting a little vibration in my steering wheel as well with speeds above 70 MPH. Sounds like a balance is in order for me too.

Mine does that until the tires get hot. After I've been on the highway for 15 minutes or so the shaking goes away. Car sat for about 4 months before I bought it, and the tires still have "flat" spots 4 months later. Like I said... they're are some pretty sthity tires. :p

Just got my 2005 Lincoln LS V8 in June with 22K on it. I LOVE THIS CAR!!! I would say about once per day/ someone has complemented me on the look of this car. I love that everybody and their brother isn't driving the LS. When I go down the road and there are matching Nissan's in front of me. It makes me smile.

I'm not terribly worried about repairs yet. I got the remainder of warranty and had car certified. So I'm good for 6 yrs/75k miles...... Too bad they stopped making LS, as I know I would have been a repeat customer.

I must confess, so is mine. Cause its sitting at the shop.

Just kidding but it is honestly doing well for once.

I had an '02 and now have an '06. No problems with either. Even the rain sensing wipers worked flawlessly on my '02 (not available on the '06).

That's a great feature on my 03. I can't believe the 06's don't have that....I guess they cut corners since they knew it was the last year of production, sad.
