I see focus pumps listed on here, but is there a difference? I tried googling and ended up confused. May have found a deal if it fits...

Oh, and what cobra supercharger parts are htf? I may have some lined up. It seems like I heard someone say the plenum was rare. Found them local for prices listed below.

Cobra Throttle Body- $25
MAF + Sensor- $40
Plenum- $20
Cruise control cable- $15.00

You need to make sure any Cobra intake parts are from 96-98 cobras.

These are s/c related parts from an 03. I found a whole assembly for $600 obo, but not quite ready for all that yet.

I guess the question I have on the pump is GSS340 or GSS342?

All those parts are for "C" headed engines ours have "B" heads. The intakes will not bolt to different heads.

Oh plus you didn't find the whole 2003 supercharger setup. There are ATON of parts to this swap. TON

I JUST DID a fuel pump swap. I have no mods on my car so keep this in mind (as IN I don't know what PSI you need in your fuel rail or what flow rate you need.. so that being said)

I got the focus pump on amazon. Came in a basket with lines. (I have pics in my thread just do a search on my name) The nice thing about the focus pump is it drops into the stock basket. But BIG WHOOP! If you look at the write-up HOW TO on either here or markviii.org it shows that for the walbro you just need to drimmel down the basket a bit on the under side to make the pump fit correctly. We're talking about 3mm here.. it's nothing.

In doing my swap I used the new fuel hoses that came with the focus pump which was a bit mistake as it has something in line that releases all pressure in the fuel line when the car shuts off... takes forever for my car to start... serious pain in the ass... so Let's say you would know not to use that part... why else wouldn't you want the focus pump? Well... it's more expensive... it's like 150$ compared to 80$ for the walbro. It's nearly the same damn procedure.. actually.. it's easier as all you need to do is pop the top, take the pump out, drimmel down the top a bit... replace the hose you pulled off the pump (prob. comes with the pump). Then put it all back togeather.

good luck.

edit: ohh.. and drop the exhaust lines ... it's much easier... also, the connector on the top of the gas tank can be a bitch but it IS a push-down type of clip. ummm... don't need to drop the back-end... when pulling out the pump... squeeze the two clips on each side that unclips it from the tank and pull up.. then you need to angle it toward you and twist a bit (I thinK) to get the fuel level arm out.. carefull of that guy..

ohh.. the Focus pump comes with a new fuel level arm which I needed so it was worth it for that... you need to invert the measuring thing but it fits on fine.

Found what i needed to know in the tech articles. Feelin' like a noob. :shifty:

A Generic Walbro (GSS342) is not the correct pump for a Gen 2.

Can you make it fit? Yes.

Should you? Not IMHO.

When it comes to the 03/04 the plenum is considered the part that the tb bolts to. 20 bucks would be about right for a stock one.

My apologies for not being clear. DLF is correct you do not reverse polarity. + to +, - to -. However + and - and backwards on the SVT Focus pump then on the stock pump. Both pumps are labeled.

Run the SVT Focus pump.Gen 2's and 98 Cobras have issues running the Walbros due to the fuel system being somewhat of a hybrid between the return and returnless style systems.
