I've been looking/watching exhaust videos here for a while and I was wondering what all of you guys run? I'd like to have the Borla xr-1 mufflers just for now but I wanna hear them on the LS first. Anybody have any suggestions or opinions?

I was in my buddies LS at school and he was running Magnaflow mufflers, that was it. It was barely noticeable in cab but when he dropped me off and drove a way it had a subtle rumble that definitely was not stock. It sounded nice but they aren't loud.

If I were to do mine I'd be looking into Bassani or Borla as you mentioned.

*Edit - in cabin, not cab. This ain't no pick-em-up truck

Depends on how loud you want it. Bassani has great tone as do Magnaflows. Flowmasters have that rumble that everyone loves. And then there is loud. It will mostly depend on your taste of sound. I'm going Cherry Bomb extremes. I got a set in the garage right now waiting to get put on. Waiting on pipes. I like loud, and that's just me. Some here have gone through two or three different setups, so they will be the ones that will have the most experience.

I have Bassani's on my Gen1 LS and love them. Other people locally have heard it and have said they like the sound of my car. I have heard the Borla's on Rodewaryers Gen2 LS and they sound great also.

Each aftermarket exhaust brings something good to the table. This topic lives in every car forum and will never die.

Yeah I've heard bassani, magnaflows, ect...But never heard borla. I'm looking for more of a deep throaty sound, kinda like when your in second gear and get around 2500-3000 rpm's with a CAI kinda sound.

Any muffler will give you a nice sound when you get on it. From what I've Sweden bassani is the way to go.
