moonroof help

My 2001 ls Moonroof doesn't open all the way, it stops after 4 inches, it goes up but I have to hit the switch like 4 times is keeps stoping. Has anyone had this problem and know what the trouble is

it happens to me. im sure its the motor but i know they're gonna tell me its like a bagillion dollars to fix. i never open it anyway

Its either the motor, or the track is full of dirt or gunk that's preventing it from opening all the way.
