Hey there, I received this email wanting me to start posting their advertising to another website I frequent. They got my email address off my profile on that site. I guess the campaign all moderators wage against spamming boards has been effective, because now they are trying to get members in good standing to start posting advertising for them. I altered the website address so as to not advertise.

Hi there

I hope you don't mind that I am contacting you today for abcdef.com.

I'm looking for webmasters or bloggers who might be interested in publishing a guest post on their website.

I would provide you with an informative, entertaining, and well worded article which contains a link to the page of my client and does not look like advertising.
The article will be tailored to your website to ensure a great and natural fit. You can even write an article yourself if you so wish.

Of course, I am willing to reward you for your effort.
I'm looking forward to your feedback.

Kind regards

Sarah Fielding - Digital Media Agent - Superserp

I would enter her Email address into a few free porn sites and see how they like their inbox all filled up with spam.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. I've actually done something like this before, when I signed up for some site without knowing that they were really looking for emails to advertise to. After asking them several times to remove my email with them saying no, I sent them an email to their administrator stating that I was henceforth considering any email from them to be an invitation to sign them up for email offerings that I thought they might be interested in. When we got to signing them up for "picture a day" emails from farmer sutra sites, they removed my email address from their lists.

First, never post questions / problems about the site in the LS forum, I wont see it. These things should be posted in the Suggestions & Comments forum, or pmd to me directly so I can resolve it.

Second, who sent the PM?

Sorry, this is the only place I ever post on this site so I don't think about other pages. Sarah Fielding - Digital Media Agent - Superserp sent it to me, but it wasn't a PM; it was to my email account that they pulled from another board. I posted it here as a warning that the spammers, having been thwarted by diligent board moderators, are now looking for another way into these sites by having trusted members post their spam for them. I don't like it, and find it highly offensive that these spammers would now be trying to use actual board members to post their crap. I don't mind the site's advertising since that is what pays for the board but these attempts to get cheap or free advertising... bleah.
