MKS feat. I want on my 97 mark VIII

Hey is it me or is that new lincoln MKS Generation Keypad, which uses heat-sensing technology to bring alive the keypad of LED backlit numerals embedded in the driver side B-pillar nice. I wonder if there is a way to add that to my Mark VIII piller. Is there anyone here who has been to the SEMA show and seen anything like that?

I would think a proximity sensor would be easier to install and probably cheaper.
