miss fire and egg smell

I have a misfire no code yet and it smells little like rotten eggs, is this smell associated with ignition problems

some mornings on the way to work at 530am I have highway I turn left on and get a hair and floor it. never misses a hit and sets me back in the seat, I run it up to 90-100 and let off. Seems like when I do that on the slow down a rotten egg smell hits me. I figured burning off the carbon lol

No I did not know that. What I told the guy was that I have a misfire and it's smells a little could you check the codes, the first and only thing he suggested was the battery

The exact same thing was happening on my wife's '97 LSC. I had the 3rd cat removed and lo and behold, problem solved. It also feels much more powerful and the gas mileage increased. If youi havn't removed that 3rd cat yet, it's about time to do so. You won't regret it.

I`ve had a voltage regulator go bad, fried the battery and stunk just like rotten eggs.

Normally the rotten egg smell is attributed to clogged cats, I've been in the auto buisiness for about 15 years and I've never heard of anyone smelling a battery...

When it gets hot enough from overcharging,....you`ll smell it. You just won`t be able to touch it.

Will they do it anyware I know some shops wont do work that is agaist the epa or exahast laws

I agree....when i took my 3rd cat off ol blue i cashed it in and it paid for 1/3 of my new exhaust
