I had this code so I set out to find a aftermarket of coils so I can get away from this crap that doesn't last long. Well I was successful in finding an aftermarket brand, Accel Part# 140032-8. Pektel sold me them off his v8.
Well I put the coils on and it seemed successful until I really put my foot into it then it would miss again. I mean I can give it 75% throttle and no problems, but much past that and it will miss above 3-4K rpm and it's inconsistent.
I swapped out the coil with a different accel coil and while I was in there I checked the gap of the plugs. they are at about .060 so I took them all down to .051-.053. I took it for a quick run and it seems to have helped me to down to 85% throttle before it will miss.
I have NGK plugs, do you think they are my problem and should pay the $8 the dealer wants for their plugs? I would probably buy them through Max because I am going to order some other parts anyway through him here soon.
Or, do you think I have another problem, I'm thinking bad/clogged injector because as it stays on the same cylinder. It idles well though and doesn't sound like a valve is floating or anything(I suppose it'd not impossible).
Keep in mind that I've had recurring misfire problems with the car since I bought it. I'm just so F***ing tired of it.
I'm open to opinions, and I can data log if anyone wants me to and can read my file.
